Negative ping responses from routers and loopbacks.

Problem Description:

When you do a ping in Windows XP or Windows 2003 server you get negative timing results, and often several lines will scroll by faster than they should.

These ping results are most notible when pinging local routers, and pinging 127.0.0.1.

You may also experience disconnection from network drives and have issues copying files, and browsing the internet.

In addition you are likely to be using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor.

Cause of the Problem:

The timing between the two cores in the processor has lost syncrnization and as a result does not provide accurate results.
