When starting up Windows Vista you get the error "0xc000000e Missing or corrupt winload.exe"
This particular error is caused by missing or damaged information in the master boot record.
Place a Windows Vista OEM CD into your computer's DVD drive and boot from it. On the second screen you will be given an option to install Vista or to "Repair your computer". Select the repair option; after Vista detects your installations you can have it attempt to autofix the installation or not select an installation and click on next.
If you choose to correct the issue yourself select the command line option and run the following commands:
Keep in mind all of the above fixes are only safe to do if Windows Vista is the only operating system installed on the hard drive. Otherwise boot entries could become damaged for other operating systems.
